Between Us: An Interactive Talk on UTIs

On October 19th, 2023, the Women’s Society was proud to host the first event of the newly relaunched women's health lecture series, Between Us (formerly known as What the Health).

In this candid presentation, Dr. Shazma Mithani shed light on identification, detection, and treatment of urinary tract infections, or UTIs.

UTIs are more common in women than in men and can lead to other serious health problems, particularly if they spread to the kidneys.

Adding to the challenges for patients and healthcare providers is the fact that UTIs may be overlooked or mistaken for other conditions.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Alberta Blue Cross for making this lecture possible.
